Our Christian Values form the roots of our school ethos and we endeavour to reflect these values in everything we do in school. Children are encouraged to care for each other by demonstrating each of these values in and out of the classroom.
As a Voluntary Aided Church of England School we have strong links with our local clergy and Rev Sandra Williams is a familiar and welcome visitor in school, often taking Worship with our children and spending time in class supporting the children's learning in RE.
Every year, the children in Kingfishers' Class (Year 6) visit Winchester Cathedral for the day in a 'pilgrimage' to help them with moving on to the next phase of their education.
Three times a year, at the end of each term, the whole school visits Kimpton Parish Church for a service to which parents are invited. Other visits to our three local churches (Kimpton, Thruxton and Fyfield) give our pupils the opportunity to forge links with our local communities.
Once each month, children and parents are invited to take part in, or simply attend, Family Worship at one of our three Parish Churches. Whenever possible we allow children to take part – it could be as simple as taking the collection, or maybe reading a passage from the Bible. Families are always welcome to join us and to take part, should you wish.
We also hold Prayer Meetings in school on the first Wednesday of every month at 10.30am.
